The Obie Salon and Spa was established in 2017. The owners, Meagan Moore-Jones and Whitney Crider, are sisters who wanted to provide to a high-end, relaxing experience for their clients. 

The Obie was named after a branch of Dale Hollow Lake where the owners travel yearly, The Obey River. Its tranquil, flowing waters were the inspiration for the vibe created at The Obie Salon and Spa
